Shel Wyminga was born purple from asphyxia and couldn't cry for the first several moments of their life. Thankfully, they soon managed to catch their breath and hasn't shut up since.

Shel holds a BFA in Acting from Trinity Western University and is a Certified Intermediate Actor Combatant with Fight Directors Canada. They are also the co-founder and Artistic Director of Far From The Tree Productions, through which they produce independent theatre ventures in Vancouver, BC.

When they aren't acting, writing, directing, producing or pretending to punch and stab things, Shel teaches Voice and Movement at Vancouver Acting School, and coaches for its affiliate, Vancouver Young Actors School.
